Thank you for your interest in Fox Valley Sinfonia 2018: Sinfonia Goes to the Movies!

What is the Fox Valley Sinfonia?

A random collection of about 60 community members (we call them “Sinfoniacs!”) who volunteer to learn a new instrument while raising funds to support the Fox Valley Symphony and it’s Youth Orchestra. Sinfoniacs will “perform” in a comedy-filled concert on March 10, with a few rehearsals to prepare ahead of time (see schedule in the details below). No prior musical experience is necessary – in fact, that makes it all the more fun!

This year’s theme is “Sinfonia Goes to the Movies” and will include popular tunes such as “Star Wars,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Harry Potter,” themes from famous westerns, and more!

What’s in it for the Fox Valley Symphony?

• Sharing the value of symphonic music with a new group of people.
• Increasing awareness of the real FVSO.
• Raise at least $50,000 (that’s our goal) to help fund the upcoming FVSO season and its Youth Orchestra program.

What’s in it for ME?

• Two free tickets to the Nov. 18 FVSO concert at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, including a pre-concert instrument unveiling reception!
• Free lessons from a professional musician on a brand-new-to-you musical instrument.
• The chance to “wow” family and friends (or make a fool of yourself in good fun… depending on your practice regimen).
• A new entry for your resumé or LinkedIn profile.
• A unique networking opportunity to work together and make new friends.
• The chance to be “instrumental” in propelling the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra into another 50 years.

The Venue.
